Wont let me watch movies

Despite a 1 star, this is my far the most polished movie manager on the App Store. That said, of what use are lists if you can easily loose them when you suddenly change your phone? Been using this for 6 years but never was able to keep track of my lists. Upgrading won’t help you either! Please fix this and I will personally advertise this app on my social media!

Would love to see my log clearly marked and tagged with the date I “marked as watched,” and then a list view to view these by. That is all.

This already at this point in time is phenomenal and allows for great customization and organization. The news section as well is very useful. My only complaint is that it feels like the app could have extra potential features that would take it to the next level, such as searching for other user’s lists, and up-to-date TodoMovies lists. Regardless I highly recommend downloading and paying for no ads as this app is great for any film fan.

En definitiva es la mejor que he visto sobre gestión de películas, soy una persona muy organizada con las películas y había buscado por años una app que tuviera una interfaz simple pero bonita, esta me parece excelente. Puedes hacer listas con distintos géneros o las películas que más te gustaron en todo el año, clasificarlas, darles una valoración, ver las valoraciones de Rotten o otros. Incluye trailers, fotos y una descripción de la película. Mi único miedo es que dejen de darle mantenimiento porque la gente no entiende para lo que es de verdad.

I love this app so much! I watch a lot of movies, and used to keep a list in my computer of every movie I watched, because occasionally I forget whether I've seen a specific movie already. Not this app does that for me and makes it so much easier to keep track. I upgraded to the paid version so I could create my own lists. My only fear is that one day I'll try to add a movie and be told I've reached my limit. I don't know if there is a limit, but I have over 600 moves in my to watch list. If this app ever crashes or is discontinued, I'll be so lost!

Great for tracking movies to watch or that you have watched. The only problem I have with the app is when I search for something and tap to open the movie/actor, then go back to search, the search bar disappears and I can’t get it back unless I close out of the app entirely and go back in, which is annoying and time consuming.

Thoughtfully laid out. Tons of helpful features. It would be great to have a sort by date released for lists and such. Other than that fantastic app!

You need to review biographies and update as needed. I was looking at John Noble bio, you you say he is currently staring in fringe. That show has been off the air since 2013. This just goes to show how often you review and check bio of everyone (which is never). Please do yourself a favor and either check people’s bio so you look stupid, or take down the app until you fix this problem

I love this app. I am a big film buff and my watch lists have never been so organized. I also enjoy the unlimited custom lists option that cost $4.99. Well worth the money. But there is one flaw to this app that MUST, MUST, MUST be fixed by the developers. There NEEDS to be an option to sort by ORIGINAL release date, not by a random re-release. For example, currently Star Wars (1977), A Trip to the Moon (1902) and Nosferatu (1929) are listed as being released in 1980, 2011 and 2009 respectively. This infuriates me because it leaves an inaccurate picture of when movies actually came out. If the developer sees this review, I ask that you fix this bug and I will declare your app to be perfect in every way I need it to be.

I love this app! It’s great for tracking movies you’ve seen and you wanna watch. I think it would be cool to have the ability to search list (you have Top List) but I would love to be able to search for list. It would also be great if it told you where you could watch/buy it. But the features it has are great! I have recently bought the pro version and I love having all the extra list! I would also love to see an account feature where I can log into the same database from multiple devices without having to share it each time.

Recent update is still missing my list!! This was supposed to fix it!??

I’m no longer able to export my list of movies. The support team is not contactable. It seems like this app is no longer being developed.

The app works fairly well but id really hoped to be able to scroll my watchlist in a more engaging and inspiring way! A grid-view option with tiles could really help the interface and experience

I paid for the upgrade to set up multiple lists and it was great. Then one day I open it up and all the lists are gone Unreliable, broken DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!?

Opened the app today to find out that all my saved movies are gone. Guess I’m starting over in a different app.

After the most recent update, all my movie lists (watched and to watch) are gone! The watched list I had catalogued spanned almost 30 years of movies and, in one update, gone! Where is the quality control before you push through these updates??? This used to be my go-to app, sorry, about to hit the delete button...

After updating of the program all noted movies were removed! Used throughout long time and everything was removed! I will not use more the program, there is no sense!

The recent update messed the entire app up. Whenever I would click on any of the lists the app would automatically shut down. Then I deleted the app and re-downloaded it to see if that would refresh it and now it lost my entire lists.

I love this app, have been using it for over a year and was the best movie tracking app I’ve ever got. But after the lasted update, it crash every time I hit My List, can you please fix it?

It has a lot of movies but won’t play them. It exits from the movie and says that it can play them. How do I get it to work?

Every time I try to open the “top list” in the dicover section I get this network error message. And the app is SUUUUUPER slow to load I don’t know why.

I like the app but I wish you could save a profile so that you don't have to start all over again if you get a new phone

I use this to track upcoming movies and to set reminders around their release dates. It has a great UI and I love that watching trailers is effortless. However, I do wish it didn’t have such a limited selection of movies in the “Upcoming” tab. I’d like to scroll through that for a long time, viewing trailers that interest me. But right now it only shows about 20 or so.

This app is really awesome. Keeps track of all the movies we want to watch and have watched. I have several categories, so I know where to find them. I also tried the backup and it works perfectly. Once a month I send the backup to my email and then update the app on a different device, just in case.

I really love the ability to organize the movies I’ve seen and tag movies I want to see. The only caveat is that there’s not a category for TV shows. Add that and you get that last star!

This app is awesome. They have a thorough database of movies and I love that they have the images along with the movies as well as having them in categories. The biggest problem is how long it takes to check off a movie that I’ve seen. As of now, I have to click the movie, click the + and then click the check mark all just to add it to my “watched list”. It just seems very inefficient. I think adding a feature where I can either swipe left to say, “add to watch list” or right to “add to already seen” list is so much more efficient and would make it much easier to navigate so I don’t feel like I’m taking forever to add a movie to either list. Or even just holding down on the title of the movie to check it off would be a better way to check movies off. My final addition would be to have categories of movies by year or decade. It’s a more efficient way for people to check off the movies they have seen. For example, I was born in the 90’s so it would be easier for me to start with movies in that era and the early 2000s when I really began watching a lot of movies. A good app and a great idea just needs some updated features to make it even better!

It’s a complete checklist and informative app for movies. I just wish the had a not watched button or a way to remove movies that you might’ve thought was seen.

No need to keep track of my favorite movies in my notes anymore. TodoMovies allows me to list the movies I’ve watched and movies I have yet to see. Additionally, every movie can be rated and provides the full cast of actors/actresses, synopsis and year of release. Upcoming movies can be saved and a reminder can be set. To top it off, you can find international titles. I was pleasantly surprised when I found Russian, Spanish and French films.

I like this app a lot but I’d prefer a 10-point rating scale so I could have more flexibility in rating movies.

I’ve used this app for years and I really want to keep using it, as I like the interface and find it easy to use. But the fact that release dates keep changing and many end up being in the past when the movie isn’t even out yet is frustrating when trying to see what’s coming out soon. I don’t know where it’s pulling release dates from but it’s nowhere close in many cases to when other sites say they’re being released.

I thought you could watch movies through this app but it’s just to create a list of movies to watch so really it’s worthless.

What Flixster and Fandango won’t give you. I’d pay for this, a little anyway. Trying to figure out what to watch with the family, try here. Future, would like if could see what streaming service I could watch a film on, a few more discovery options, ability to share lists with friends and family.

Great app but can’t add movies to lists we have created only allows us to add to watched or to watch lists.

I seriously love this app! I wish there was one for tv shows too.

Honestly I never write reviews and for an app to have been what I envisioned a easy swipe for this movie to the next, isn’t. Quick suggestion, if y’all just had a database of randomized movies constantly adding once ones are taken off the roster on a loop. Swipe left to “want” to watch it, swipe right to “seen” it, swipe up to love it. And keep the +list. Overall just make the movies discovery easier and intuitive. It’s a waste of time if I have to go into every single movie, tap twice and back out manually every single time. Let’s see if anyone reads this. 🤙🏾

I’d love to be able to make notes and leave ratings on movies so I can better keep track of what I’ve seen or where I heard a movie recommended. Also - it would be great to see what streaming services are featuring movies, and to sort my watch list to see what is streamable. But overall - awesome!

I love this app and how I am able to manage the movies I’ve seen and the ones that I want to see. The only thing that is stopping me from giving it a 5 star review is that I wish it would sync between my iPhone and iPad.

Keep up the good work, love the organization, ways to discover new movies that are coming up and keeping track of films that I want to see but haven’t had a chance to do so.

Update: The issue was solved reinstalling the app. Thank you! The app crashes each time I try to add a movie. So it is useless at this time with iOS 12
